Meeting Notes

  • Donna opened the meeting asking the group if there were any other agenda items that needed to be added to the agenda. Donna also welcomed our new members of the work team.

  • NYS Forum Executive Board - Donna and James met with the executive board of the Forum to review our progress to date as a work group. We received great feedback as to the work we have done over the last 6 months. Greg raised a concern regarding the need for resources if we continue to be successful. We, James and Donna, will be meeting with Greg and Rebecca to discuss the costs of administrative support for events and additional groups to be included in the CoP Starter Kit discussions.
  • James gave an update regarding the Corporate Roundtable update that is provided each month.
  • BA Survey - Need to add questions to the survey to see if anyone wants to participate in the planning of the organizing event. Discussion regarding the role this team should plan in this and how to address Greg's concerns about relying on the Forum for additional support. It was decided at this meeting that the CoPs need to be self sustaining.
  • CoP Starter Kit - The group discussed what types of components should be in the Starter Kit. Doug recounted to those new to the group the work he has done thus far on pulling together examples. He will invite all new members to participate in the Google Group so they will in turn have access. The group discussed a modest/moderate/ and elaborate approach to the starter kit. We also discussed the need of creating a common taxonomy for our use and the use of others to avoid any miscommunication or expectations.
  • General Housekeeping - Mario raise a point that we should have a list of links to other training coursed that are available on-line. He was to pull together a list so we could review and see about adding this as a resource on our resource page.
  • On-Going Tasks (did these get completed?):
