Procurement Work Group Meeting
February 17, 2010
2pm at NYS Forum Office on Aviation Road
Attendees: Renee Roth O'Neill, Diane Taylor (by phone), Bob Wahrman, John Moriarty, Ruth Walters, Christine Irvine, Steve Tuite, Danica Ehmann, Jana Behe
- minutes for the January 20, 2010 meeting of the workgroup were accepted without revision.
- Final Preparation review for Debriefing Roundtable scheduled for February 25, 2010.
- Discussion included a review of methods to increase attendance at the session. Decided to send notice to Procurement Council Members (Renee) and OGS Bidders List and OSC's list of Finance Officers (Diane).
- Confirmed that the session would take place in Meeting Room 6, as originally scheduled.
- Next steps discussed included:
- Prepare a detailed agenda including times and participants' names for handout. (Diane). Attendees reviewed the order of panelists.
- Review of handouts to be provided to and copied by Diane.
- Need to issue the request for questions before the session to be sent to and documented by Renee
- Each member was asked to develop one 'canned' question and send to Renee by Friday.
- Todd will send invitation to Assmw. Ro. Destito
- Members agreed that they would arrive at the venue at 8:00 am.
- Steps for "Doing Business in New York State" Session
- Discussed two possible dates for the session - June 9th or 16th, 2010.
- Renee agreed to check with Don Green on those dates.
- Renee also agreed to ask Rebecca for suggestions on meeting rooms for the seminar. Possible venues suggested by attendees included Cultural Education Center, Chancellor's Hall, Clark Auditorium and the Huxley Theater.
- Diane indicated she would get a small work group together to start identifying/outlining sessions to be included in the seminar, which would then be shared with the workgroup for the input and suggestions.
