2006 IT Contracting Symposium
The NYS Forum and the Office of the Chief Information Officer, in cooperation with the Office of General Services, Office of the State Comptroller, Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination, NYS Attorney General and the Office for Technology sponsored this Symposium which was targeted to New York State government agency executives who procure information technology (IT) products and services, including IT directors and chief information officers (CIOs), chief finance officers (CFOs) and legal professionals.
The Symposium consisted of a one day class designed to increase professional skills in information technology contracting. The course highlighted recent laws enacted that effect procurement; and private and public business drivers impacting public sector IT contracting. It was also designed to provide professional skills development on conducting technology procurements. Presenters and panelists provided legal and procedural synopses, case studies and practical lessons learned.
