NYS Forum IT Corporate Roundtable New York City Information Session
Session Overview
The NYS Forum's IT Corporate Roundtable was created in 2001. Its central purpose is to provide a neutral context for IT corporations to work in partnership with New York state and local government IT leadership and staff creating open and effective communications between New York's government information management organizations and the IT corporate sector to contribute to:
- Collaborative provision of education, training, conference and symposium events to facilitate the effective development of efficient and secure e-Government/e-Commerce in New York State and to address the priorities of The NYS Forum's government membership.
- Pursuance of research and the issuance of white papers and reports as a means to educate and raise awareness in priority areas as an initial step toward the pursuance of positive, cooperative actions.
- Development of a mutual capacity to articulate business and technical requirements and provide creative designs for new and emerging products and services for New York State and local agencies, thus enabling higher quality and more efficient public services for New York businesses and constituents.
- Developing a dynamic capacity to productively engage: (a) state and local government personnel responsible for leading the business of government; (b) staff creating effective, government management information systems and resources; and (c) representatives of the corporate sector whose products and services represent emergent and/or long-term state and local business solutions.
This two-hour session in Midtown will provide an overview of the IT Corporate Roundtable, how and why IT corporations are becoming members, and describe how The Forum's IT Corporate Roundtable is developing a program specific to serving the needs of the government IT leadership and staff in the metro-NY area.
