A Decade of Webmastering
The NYS Forum Webmasters' Guild Ten Year Commemoration
On October 6, 2005 members and friends of The Forum's Webmasters' Guild attended a special event marking the commencement of the Guild's 10th year. The session featured a keynote presentation by Professor Bebo White, Departmental Associate (retired) at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), the national high energy physics laboratory at Stanford University. Dr. White was a member of the team that developed the first Web site in the Western Hemisphere at SLAC in 1989. Dr White's work includes research into Web technologies, high performance computing, Grid computing and physics event visualization. Dr. White is now associated with the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW), a partner of The NYS Forum, and co-host in presenting this program and the appearance of Dr. White.
